Teflon PTFE fabric consists of a woven fiberglass that has been coated with a PTFE resin. These fabrics have a nonstick surface, perform well under temperatures ranging from -100℉ to 500℉.

Teflon PTFE fabric is made by coating PTFE emulsion on to varying styles and grades of fibre glass cloth. PTFE fabric has a smooth 

surface and excellent nonstick properties. It has an extra-heavy coating of PTFE resin and a super-smooth, nonporous surface suitable 

for advanced applications. PTFE coated glass cloth is designed for a number of applications in diverse industries where high temperature,

non-stick, chemically resistant and dimensionally stable characteristics are important.

Teflon PTFE Fabric for Electrical Insulation

Due to the high dielectric strength of Teflon PTFE and strong mechanical strength of glass fiber fabric, PTFE coated fabric is used in aerospace wire wrapping and electrical coil and phase 

insulation.

Composite Molding

The mold or tool is lined with PTFE coated tape and fabric which is conformable. Once the PTFE lined mold is filled with resin and composite material, curing occurs and the PTFE tape 

releases cleanly from the tooling. PTFE tapes and fabrics replace other manually applied release agents that are labor intensive to use and must  be reapplied before each lay-up. PTFE 

tapes and fabrics provide a more consistent release and may also last for several pulls from the mold, providing additional time and cost savings.

PVC Welding and Heat Sealing

The manufacture of vinyl extrusions into frames for windows and doors requires a durable nonstick material for the welding process. PTFE tape fabric can be used to cover the heated 

plates which allow heat to form the joint weld while preventing hot PVC from sticking. Teflon PTFE fabric and tape are chemically inert, temperature and abrasion resistant, and provide 

superior release. This allows the operator to melt the angled edges of the PVC profile and press them together to form a clean weld in a window or door frame.
